Balaramapuram pure handloom product with government certified handloom mark. A yellow powder diluted in gum is painted upon the zari(jari) to give better appearance and for glacing. If the quantity of gum is less or if the cloth is soaked in water/soap water exceeding ten minutes, there are chances of spreading of yellow colour on the material. This is not a manufacturing defect. By washing the material in hot water, the spreaded yellow colour will be cleared and the zari(jari) on the material will become the natural colour. The zari(jari) can be repolished if required. Hand wash with ordinary soap (avoid detergent) and starching of cloth will give long life and freshness.
